Greenbrowser won't load with Chrome and a site problem.

1) Ever since I got Chrome (because it is so fast) I have had a lot of trouble with Gb loading sites. If I search for a book in five or more sites which I have little icons for, its ok, unless oneof the sites is www.ipage.ingrambook.com. This site will either not load, make the browser freeze or take long enough to play a fast game of tetris before it does load.  This is problematic for me but GreenBrowser has so many features I use I worked around it.

2) However I recently got the latest version of Chrome and seven extensions and now if Chrome is working and I start Greenbrowser, GB doesn't load to more than 29% - blank pages.  I have to stop Chrome then start GB, then start Chrome again.

I have a bookshop (real life) and spend a lot of time buying books online, GB is the best browser around so I would like to be able to fix those problems, do you have any advice for me?

Happy New 2010!

I use Chrome too, but don't have this problem. Chrome is a standalone application who does not use IE kernel at all, so I don't think it would affect another application that use almost a total different code set.
Have you tried IE itself?

I tried IE, it was worse, very slow, but enabled me to find at least one of the problems. The problem was Hotshotshield which I had uninstalled a while ago had left a search engine rss2search (at least I think it was the problem). Once I uninstalled that everything ran a lot better. I am still having far more 'not responding' messages mostly when I am trying to load ipage.ingrambook.com with anything else, but Amazon also causes it a bit. The other book sites have far less links and I presume that has something to do with it, but I'm not a geek, what do I know?

I tried inagrambook.com and everything was fine. Of course I don't have an account so I can't see most of it's contents, so I tried Amazon (homepage and a few links). Despite the Internet speed (goegraphy), it's reasonably smooth.
But since you mentioned your IE kernel was slowing down by some (probably damaged) ActiveX plugin before, that reminds me, are you using IE8? If you're not, tried upgrading IE.

I did try IE8 and there were all sorts of problems so I rolled back. Since Hotspotshield and its search engine have gone it has improved, also deleting a lot of Chrome extensions helped. Ingrambook now loads but I am still getting a lot of 'not responding' so I will look at the Active X angle and may try IE8 again. Thanks for the tips.
